Uyghur Voice – the quiet protest of Maajid Nawaz

Sharing a story with an article of mine on a subject of great interest, the treatment of the Uyghur people, by the Chinese Communist Party Government and a particular action by campaigner Maajid Nawaz, to stop this potential genocide happening. It is meant to instill in us all, wherever we are, not a hunger strike, as herein, but a hunger to protest injustice.

Maajid Nawaz has the signatures needed, on the petition described in the article here, but continues with silent vigils and quiet protests for we must become more aware of this subject and be in full support. The weaker, too often are the victims of the stronger. Here, a minority people, subjugated by the government of China. A government that, after the brutal years of Mao, and Maoism, seemed to show much promise of change and reform, promises that have come to nothing at all now. There are many Uyghurs who are trying to be heard, it is the Uyghur voice, we must listen to, and these voices of the Uyghurs must get a hearing. Maajid Nawaz is someone with a voice giving voice to these concerns. We need to speak up.
